Overview

Michael is a freelance audio engineer, who has toured and mixed sound for events all over the world, from The National Concert Hall in Dublin to The Sanderʼs Theatre at Harvard University, Boston. And from the Capital Building in Washington D.C for President Obama to The Conservatorium of Music in Hobart, Tasmania.

Michael was born in Galway, on the west coast of Ireland. He moved to London tostudy a Diploma of Audio Engineering at the School of Audio Engineering after undertaking a certificate course in Electronic Engineering.

While working in industry, Michael received a scholarship to study a Degree in Audio Engineering at the School of Audio Engineering in Sydney, Australia (in collaboration with the University of Middlesex, London). Completing the Degree with First Class Honours, his Major Creative Project was awarded a lifetime archive at The National Film & Sound Archive, Melbourne.

With a strong formal education supporting practical application, Michaelʼs specialization in live sound reaches a variety of disciplines, from traditional Irish music to rockʼnʼroll and theatre to corporate events. Michael is just at home mixing on digital and analogue desks. He is a Digidesign Pro Tools Certified Operator and a member of the Audio Engineering Society.
